OverĀ 1,800 years ago, Daoist originators of Kunlun Dayan Qigong, based their style upon the movements and qualities of the highly revered Da Yan / 'Great Goose' (the Bar Headed Goose). These movements were also born out of principles from the YƬ jÄ«ng ęē¶, the BÄguĆ å «å¦, JÄ«ngluò ē¶ēµ”, and ancient Chinese / Daoist medical knowledge. Hence, a 128-movement form was created, comprising the '1st 64' and '2nd 64' forms:
The Wild Goose QigongĀ 1st 64Ā (or āFront 64ā) is where your Foundation training begins. Based upon the 'Later-Heaven' Bagua, it consists of 64 graceful movements and benefits post-natal QI issues. Just alone, the 1st 64 is a very comprehensive exercise, stimulating and restoring the entire body. Suitable for all abilities. Currently 70+ videos, totalling 4+ hrs. [Value $147. Available Now in the Da Yan Academy as part of your Personal Mentoring].
The Wild Goose QigongĀ 2nd 64Ā (also known as āBack 64ā), continues from where the 1st 64 leaves off and completes theĀ Foundation Dong Gong exercises.Ā These 64 movements are based on the 'Pre-Heaven' Bagua and work on deeper, pre-natal issues in the body. Whilst, generally speaking, the 1st 64 gathers and builds Qi, the 2nd 64 involves larger Qi field movements and 'expelling' actions. You will have preferably completed and trained the 1st 64 for 6-months before starting the 2nd 64 training. Currently 69 videos, totalling approx. 2 hrs of training. [Value $147.Ā Available Now in the Da Yan Academy as part of your Personal Mentoring].
The Wild GooseĀ Wu Xing Jing Gong |Ā äŗč”éåĀ is the fundamentalĀ Jing GongĀ / meditation practice in the Wild Goose system. I prefer to think of thisĀ practice asĀ āCultivating Stillnessā.Ā You can practise this simply sitting on a chair.Ā Jing GongĀ should be practised in tandem with theĀ dynamicĀ Dong GongĀ exercises, as they mutually reinforce and promote the cultivation and internal mobilization of Qi.Ā Wu Xing Jing GongĀ comprises five different methods, which can achieve āSmall & Large Heavenly Circuitsā and strong external Qi fields. The first two of these methods are taught in this course; theĀ Natural Qi Sinking MethodĀ | čŖē¶ę²ę°ę³ andĀ Silently Spoken QiĀ Cultivation MethodĀ | é»åæµå »ę°ę³. Contemporary research and neuroscience further recognize the benefits of regular meditation including;Ā increased immunity, empathy, focus; improved cardiovascular health and stress reduction. [Value $47.Ā Available Now in the Da Yan Academy as part of your Personal Mentoring].
Wild Goose Qigong Pai Da Gong | ęęå„čŗ«å (also referred to as ā(Healthy) Slapping Gong' or 'Body Strengthening by Patting') is an essential shorter exercise (4-mins) and can be learned independently of the 1st and 2nd 64. Its moves are relatively less technical and physically demanding, making it suitable for all ages and abilities - particularly for the elderly or those with a weak constitution. Though shorter, Pai Da Gong is a very effective and comprehensive exercise - working on the Yin & Yang channels of legs and arms, Dai Mai, and San Jiao. Patting is great to clear stagnation in the body. It can benefit lumbo-sacral issues, sciatic problems and neuropathy of the limbs. It helps promote blood and lymph circulation, bone density and more⦠Currently 28 videos, totalling over 1 hour of training content. [Value $47.Ā Available Now in the Da Yan Academy as part of your Personal Mentoring].
The Wild GooseĀ Kidney GongĀ |Ā äŗč”å„č åĀ (or Kidney Strengthening Gong) is part of a set of exercises practised specifically to nourish or treat particular Zang Fu / āorgansā of the body. These include; Heart, Stomach, Liver and Kidney. The Kidney āpatternsā (in Qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine theory)Ā are always deficient - exacerbated by overwork, stress, lack of sleep and effects of ageing. This is a moving exercise (Dong Gong) designed to treat the above, strengthening the Kidney by way of tapping Kidney Shu points & Ming Men, whilst also nourishing the Lungs.Ā This course currently consists of 17 training videos, totalling over 40-mins. [Value $47.Ā Available Now in the Da Yan Academy as part of your Personal Mentoring].

About Your Instructor & Lineage
č”ä»é
Gregg Wagstaff is Founder of the Da Yan Academy and Instructor for the Da Yan / Wild Goose Qigong Association (UK) since 2002. He trained in UK and China under Master Chan Kim Fung (Hong Kong) and Master Wang Tai Li (Beijing). From 2004 - 2017 he ran GreggsClinic.com - using Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, Tui Na Medical Massage and Qigong to treat pain and dysfunction, and achieve optimal health and wellness for his clients.
Today, Gregg combines all of this experience to offer health coaching, 1-to-1 training, classes, workshops and retreats. Wild Goose Qigong remains at the core of his personal and professional practice. He created the Da Yan Academy as a dedicated platform to collate, research and teach authentic Wild Goose Qigong, world-wide.
é³åå³°
In 1994, Chan Kim Fung é³åå³° was accepted as an “in door” student of the 27th Generation Grandmaster, Yang Mei June. She called him äŗé³ (Chen the Second). In 2000, she appointed him as ‘Overseas General Manager’ of the Da Yan Qigong Headquarters (established in 1979) in Beijing.
In his recent book, Master Chan writes, 'In 1999, Yang Mei June told me, Wang Tai Li has good gÅngfu / å夫 / skill. You must help him to come out of the mountains." [chÅ«shÄn / åŗå±±]
Master Chan took early retirement to honour Yang Mei June's request, enable his study of Traditional Chinese Medicine and further promote Wild Goose Qigong. He is also Chairman of the Da Yan Qigong Association in Hong Kong and UK.
ēę³°å
Wang Tail Li ēę³°å was accepted as a “in door” student of Yang Mei June in the early 1990’s. This was the beginning of a close 10-year student-master relationship that lasted right up until her passing in June 2002 at the age of 106. During this time the Grandmaster Yang passed her knowledge to her disciple Wang and he also became her carer. In 2000, she bequeathed him the Da Yan Qigong Headquarters.
In 2017, Master Wang and Master Chan co-authored a book on the Wild Goose Qigong’s 1st 64, including case studies and therapeutic applications. Master Wang is now based in Shenzhen, running clinics and training cetnre in Hong Kong & Beijing. Here here integrates his high level Da Yan Qigong skills of Qi diagnosis (vision) and therapy (Qi emission).
What Students Are Saying...

Adam Gibson - Qigong Instructor (UK)
" I would recommend Gregg to anyone interested in learning authentic Wild Goose (Da Yan) Qigong. He is a good instructor. He has good knowledge of Dayan Qigong and TCM, and is both calm and patient when he teaches. After spending a couple of years learning with Gregg, he helped me to go to China to learn from his teachers. It was something I'd always dreamed of! Dayan Qigong is one of the few qigong systems that still carries a lot of depth! It never ceases to amaze me as I continue to explore its movements and teachings! "

Philip Stoyanov - University Lecturer (Bulgaria)
" All my life I have studied Martial Arts, Yoga and other Eastern Practices. I was looking into different schools of Yoga and Qigong because I wanted to find a system which is complete and easy to explore from my Western point of view and lifestyle. My search brought me to Wild Goose Qigong, the Da Yan Academy, and Gregg.
In the Da Yan Academy, the core materials are online video trainings. The videos are very thorough and easy to follow. When I started, many positive and interesting experiences came to me. Now I feel more relaxed and my body feels more loose. I can touch the floor with my palms without any preliminary exercise. After my training sessions, I feel the energy in my body and if I stay quiet, for example during Jing Gong meditation, I can feel the Qi circulating. My palms feel like two heaters. "

Janice Fields (Texas, USA)
"At 71 years of age, my interest in Wild Goose Qigong began quite some time ago when I bought a DVD of the 1st 64 and loved the graceful moves of the demonstration. I wanted very much to learn the form, but I could not learn at that time from only the DVD, and there was scant material available. Recently more DVDs and books have been published, and I was able to learn something from them. But I was always searching for better sources, and I feel really lucky to have found the Da Yan Academy and Gregg on YouTube. I felt right away that he was the teacher I had been looking for.
The training videos are clear and thorough, beautifully demonstrated and explained in a way that is easy to understand and follow. I was convinced before I began the 1-to-1 coaching sessions online that there could be very little that was not covered in the videos, but after a few sessions with Gregg, I have found that small corrections can make a huge difference in my performance and understanding. Gregg has studied with excellent teachers. He explains each movement in clear and simple terms that a beginner can follow. This ease and simplicity can come only from a deep understanding of the material."
